Historic small towns dot the landscape of the Evergreen State, a scenic reminder of days gone by. Okanogan County, in particular, is home to many of our state’s once-thriving boom towns. Although many historic towns have succumbed to weather and age, a few still stand. With a population of less than 200, Chesaw is a small town in Washington that still retains some of its historic charm.
The tiny town of Chesaw is rich in history that you can still see a part of today. Although a lot of the original buildings no longer stand, the name Chesaw serves as a reminder of the town’s early settlers. Visit the Okanogan Country website for information on this year’s 4th of July Rodeo.
