Even The Grinch Would Marvel At The Lights of Christmas Display In Stanwood, Washington
If you’re a big fan of all things Christmas, the holiday season is the best time of year to be a Washingtonian. From the infamous Leavenworth tree lighting to the traditional events and celebrations in every county, you can celebrate the most wonderful time of the year for months here. But nothing is quite as iconic as Washington’s largest lights display, which you’ll find at The Lights of Christmas in Stanwood. This is the largest holiday event in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s amazing.

Since then, the event has grown every year, and more awesome activities (and lights) have been added.

The light hanging and installation crew begins preparing for the fun in early September.

The festival is open from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. on those dates, and you'll want to allow yourself at least two hours to enjoy it.

Guests can enjoy shopping for handmade gifts, listening to live music, and participating in plenty of fun-filled activities for people of all ages. Occasionally, you can even catch a performance at the theatre.

The piping hot mini donuts are the most popular indulgence, but there are also plenty of other food vendors.

You'll have your choice between a small motel room, a cozy cabin, or a large guest house that will accommodate your entire group. All options include festival admission and a hot breakfast in the morning.

If the cost is too steep, they offer a few Pay What You Can nights (December 5, 12, and 29), so that everyone who wants to experience the magic can do so.
