If you’re a big fan of all things Christmas, the holiday season is the best time of year to be a Washingtonian. From the infamous Leavenworth tree lighting to the traditional events and celebrations in every county, you can celebrate the most wonderful time of the year for months here. But nothing is quite as iconic as Washington’s largest lights display, which you’ll find at The Lights of Christmas in Stanwood. This is the largest holiday event in the Pacific Northwest, and it’s amazing.

The Lights of Christmas is an annual tradition that got its official start in 2007.

Since then, the event has grown every year, and more awesome activities (and lights) have been added.
The festival takes place at Warm Beach in Stanwood, which is about an hour north of Seattle.

The light hanging and installation crew begins preparing for the fun in early September.
This year's festival dates are November 29 - December 1 and December 5 - 8, 12 - 15, 18 - 23, and 26 - 29.

The festival is open from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. on those dates, and you'll want to allow yourself at least two hours to enjoy it.

Tickets for this magical event are $18 and $13 for youth (4 - 12). Senior and military discounts are available.
