Tucked away in downtown Bothell sits a charming bistro known simply as The Cottage. This local gathering space is a coffee shop and brunch spot by day and a farm-to-table eatery by night, and it’s a highly underrated treasure. The next time you find yourself in the area, try to snag a spot on the beautiful patio and prepare to be impressed.
You'll find The Cottage at 10029 NE 183rd Street, where it has been since its 2017 opening.
Quest Coffee was inspired by the family's former au pair, who is from Brazil. The au pair’s family owned coffee farms in Brazil and were struggling to keep operations moving. The Quests flew down to Brazil, met with the farmers, and developed Quest Coffee as a way to use all the beans in small batch roasting in a way that benefited the farmers. They also started a profit sharing program with the farmers to help them earn a living wage.

The Cottage first opened as a coffee shop, but it wasn't long before it expanded.
It became a community gathering place to sell Quest Coffee, local wine, beer, and spirits, and farm-to-table cuisine. When current conditions allow, it's also a space perfect for hosting local musicians.

After all the events of the past year unfolded, The Cottage revealed its new covered, heated deck for year-round outdoor dining.
