Here in Washington, we’re downright spoiled by the abundance of beautiful scenery. From crystal-clear alpine lakes to dense forests and the mystical coast, this state is brimming with postcard-perfect sights. Today’s feature adventure is no exception. We’re taking a drive on Stevens Pass Greenway, a 90-mile scenic drive in Washington that will take us to Leavenworth, which is a destination in its own right. So load up the car and don’t forget your camera — an incredible tour of the most beautiful scenery in Washington awaits!
Who's up for a road trip? Today, we're bound for one of Washington's most scenic drives: Stevens Pass Greenway, which is an official part of the Cascade Loop National Scenic Byway.
As you embark on this drive, be sure to make note of all the small towns and landscapes you pass along the way. Each mile has something special and unique to offer!
Stevens Pass follows Highway 2 and spans from Monroe in Snohomish County to Leavenworth in Chelan County. In fact, the road runs right through the heart of town!
Tucked away in the North Central Cascades, this town has won the hearts of locals and visitors alike. An alpine wonderland, the region transformed in the 1960s from a logging town to something out of a European fairytale.
The Bavarian style isn't just incorporated into the building facades; there are several ways that the town of Leavenworth embraces and celebrates the region of Germany that it so closely resembles.
