Our public libraries provide a window into the rest of the world. They’re full of books, sure…but they also offer media items like DVDs and music, computer labs where you can access wi-fi, meeting rooms, book clubs, kids activities, and so much more…all free of charge. The Seattle Central Library is Washington’s largest public library, and a visit there is a day full of pure fun.
The Seattle Central Library is a magnificent architectural wonder in the heart of the city. Some people love its design; others not as much. One thing's for sure - this place offers all kinds of great education and entertainment.
You might think of libraries as stuffy places with stern librarians shushing you every time you speak...but Seattle Central is a far cry from that antiquated model. This space is light, bright, and bustling with people who are learning, working, and relaxing.
If you love to read, this place is pure heaven. No matter what you're looking for, from Pulitzer Prize-winning fiction to non-fiction on any subject known to man, you'll find it here.
The library has 400 public computers, each with free wi-fi. Some of the computers are dedicated for job searching or off-line work, and copiers and printers are available for a small fee.
