Good news: We’ve reached the point in the year where we can all agree those diet-related New Year’s resolutions we made were a little unrealistic, and there’s also still plenty of 2018 left to enjoy. That means treating yourself to a few meals at some of Washington’s hot spots and iconic eateries.
Since there are (almost) 10 months of 2018 left, we chose 10 tasty restaurants you should try before New Year’s Eve. Bon appétit!
1. Chuckanut Manor, 3056 Chuckanut Dr., Bow
You may want to save this
secluded waterfront restaurant for a warm summer evening when you can enjoy dinner on the deck... but you'll enjoy the fresh, local food here anytime.
2. JuneBaby, 2122 NE 65th St., Seattle
Considering
JuneBaby has been dubbed one of the best restaurants in the entire nation, it's safe to say that it's definitely worth trying... especially on Fried Chicken Dinner Sunday, if you can get a seat.
3. Crafted, 22 North 1st St., Yakima
The Yakima dining scene has had some exciting new additions in recent years, and
Crafted just might be the best one of them all. The fresh, local food here is delicious.
4. Summit House Restaurant, 33914 Crystal Mountain Blvd., Enumclaw
Located at Crystal Mountain Resort, Summit House is awesome... and not just because you can only get there
by gondola.
5. The Maple Counter Cafe, 209 E Alder St., Walla Walla
This
casual eatery in Walla Walla is the perfect place to grab a hearty brunch after a day of wine tasting (or just because).
6. Copper Creek Inn, 35707 WA-706, Ashford
This rural restaurant on the edge of Mt. Rainier National Park is a total
hidden gem, but we highly recommend finding it — it's delightful.
7. Mary Lou's Milk Bottle, 802 W Garland Ave., Spokane
If you've never stopped by this iconic and
incredibly unique eatery in Spokane, you owe it to yourself to try a tasty burger and a shake or a sundae.
8. The Pink Door, 1919 Post Alley, Seattle
The Pink Door is the definition of a hidden gem — it's located in Pike Place Market's Post Alley, behind an actual pink door. The restaurant recently completed a beautiful renovation, but the Italian entrees and seafood (as well as the nightly performers) are just as amazing as ever.
9. The Vin du Lac Winery, 105 Hwy 150, Chelan
We recommend visiting
Vin Du Lac on a clear autumn day when the restaurant is surrounded by the most stunning fall colors. But rest assured, your meal will be scrumptious any time of year.
10. Willows Inn, Lummi Island
Enjoying the multi-course meal experience at
Washington’s most remote restaurant will definitely take some advanced planning and saving. But it's truly an experience like no other, and if you love local food, you'll never forget your meal here.
We really do have some incredible restaurants here in Washington. This summer, treat yourself to some rooftop dining .
