The surrounding fir and cedar trees and a campfire provide the outdoor “camping” feel, while the well-appointed tents (described by the host company as canvas cabins) add the glamour that merges into a “glamping” experience.

The six tents, or canvas cabins, of Pampered Wilderness are cleverly named: Rustic Retreat, Safari Suite, Shabby Chic, Modern Wilderness, Cozy Cottage and Country Cabin.

Millersylvania State Park is about 11 miles from downtown Olympia, Washington. Pampered Wilderness offers two-night stays in Friday-Saturday and Sunday-Monday packages from April through October, with some extensions of that calendar if the weather allows.
