Washington is home to about 375 breweries, which isn’t surprising considering that the vast majority of our country’s hops are grown locally. Our breweries are scattered across the state, ranging from small batch breweries to the larger, well-known brands. Each spot has such a distinctive character, there’s something for everyone—even for those who might think they don’t like beer.
However, we have yet to find a brewery quite like The North Fork Brewery anywhere else in the state. Not only does it have the most delicious pizzas on Earth (that happen to pair perfectly with the beer), but the place itself has some unique and quirky traits, like a beer shrine.
The North Fork Brewery is located in Deming, which is a short drive from Bellingham on scenic Mt. Baker Highway 542.
Speaking of beer ... The North Fork Brewery produces beer in the time-honored, time-intensive style of British ales, barrel-aged Belgian style sours and lagers.
The small batches are hand-transferred from fermentation to conditioning, moved to serving tanks or oak barrels, and served in the tap room. The brew is always that fresh.
Even if you're not a drinker or a fan of beer, you'll love the pizza served here.
It's also open daily, so you'll have plenty of chances to go. Monday - Friday hours are 1 p.m. - 9 p.m., while Saturday and Sunday hours are noon - 9 p.m.
Have you ever checked out the beer shrine at The North Fork?
