As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
What comes to mind when you think of Washington’s most famous accommodations? Recently, Mayflower Park Hotel was voted Washington’s Most Famous Hotel by Elle Decor. And while we aren’t entirely sure that’s accurate, it’s definitely a lovely place to stay. If you’ve never heard of this magnificent property, allow us to introduce you.
The Mayflower Park Hotel is located in downtown Seattle, where it has been for 92 years.
It was built in 1927 as the Bergonian. And almost a century later, it's still locally-owned (by Birney and Marie Dempcy) and still an important part of the community.
The current owners purchased the hotel in 1973, beautifully renovating it and restoring it.
And although Seattle hotels are known for being expensive, The Mayflower is actually a steal. Rooms rent for as little as $124 during the off-season and weekend rates for classic rooms are still under $200.

In addition to having a cosy, plush place to sleep, you'll be close to some of the city's top attractions.
Oliver's Lounge has been open for more than 40 years and it keeps getting better. The lounge seres creative cocktails and light lunch and dinner items, with two daily happy hours six days a week.
The adjacent eatery, Andaluca Restaurant, is also fantastic.
