With More Than 425 Acres To Explore, Washington's Dosewallips State Park Is Worthy Of A Multi-Day Adventure
Washington’s state parks are incredible. We’re so lucky to have 124 state parks to choose from, all available for the small purchase of a Discover Pass (aside from our annual Free Park Days). And while these natural oases range from minuscule to massive, one of our favorites is actually one of our largest state parks.
If you’re a fan of camping, swimming, hiking, clam digging, and simply enjoying nature, you’ll love Dosewallips State Park.

Spanning 425 acres, this is one of the largest state parks in Washington. The fields were old homestead sites prior to the property becoming a park. Look closely and you might be able to spot some old rail beds where logs were hauled from the mountains down to the water before they were floated to their destination.

This means you can enjoy both saltwater and freshwater activities.

Bivalves are abundant in the Hood Canal area, and you'll often see people out harvesting them.

Luckily, there's a restaurant near the park's entrance, Geoduck Restaurant and Lounge—and both the food and the views are excellent.

This is a popular place to camp. But in spite of this, the campsite stays pretty quiet and peaceful.
