Not only do Washington wineries produce some of the best wine on the planet, many of them happen to be beautiful, making them a great destination even for those who don’t imbibe. And if you’re an art lover, visiting Long Shadows Vintners in Walla Walla is a must. The two onsite tasting rooms are elegant and refined, and one of them happens to be decorated with art from one of the country’s most well-known glass sculptor.
While there is certainly no shortage of charming wineries in Walla Walla, Long Shadows Vintners stands out in the crowd.
The Chihuly Tasting Room features the art of Dale Chihuly, a renowned glass artists who was born and raised in Tacoma.
Allen Shoup met Dale Chihuly 30 years ago in Western Washington, when Chihuly was the featured artist at Chateau Ste. Michelle, where Shoup was the president.
You can learn more about the wonderful wine at Long Shadows here. And while you’re wine tasting in Walla Walla, don’t forget to pay a visit to Washington’s school house winery.
