We live in an incredible country, but nothing quite compares to the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, especially Washington. In a way, growing up in the Evergreen State sort of ruins you for every other place. If you were lucky enough to be raised here, here are 10 things you should consider before living anywhere else.
From apples and asparagus to the glorious few months known as cherry season, Washington grows some of the best fruits and veggies in the country. Moving elsewhere might mean making some disappointing trips down the grocery store aisles.
Sure, there’s more snow on the east side and summers aren’t quite as scorching in Western Washington. But no matter what part of the state you called home, you’ll definitely be able to tell the seasons apart.

No one is ever far from nature in Washington. Even if you live in the heart of Seattle or Spokane, our two biggest cities, you’re only a few minutes away from a hiking trail, lake, beach or mountain.

Washington lands some pretty big artists to play at its numerous venues, but the best spot to see a show is definitely the Gorge Amphitheater in George. Watching a sunset there while listening to your favorite band perform will change your life.
