The Hike To This Little-Known Washington Waterfall Is Short And Sweet
We’ve got some pretty spectacular waterfalls here in the Evergreen State, and quite frankly, we can’t think of a more beautiful reward for a challenging hike. But as fantastic as our popular waterfall trails like Franklin Falls are, they stay perpetually packed all spring and summer long. If you’d like a more secluded experience, head to the South Cascades ad find the Angel Falls Loop Trail.

To reach it, head south on WA 131 from Randle and turn left onto Forest Road 23 toward Trout Lake. Follow Forest Road 23 for 12 miles, then take a right onto Forest Road 28 (Cispus Road). After a couple of miles, look for the Burley Mountain trailhead.

You'll start by making a somewhat steep climb, then you'll descend into a green grotto of creeks and waterfalls.

That's right -- this trail actually has two major waterfalls. This is a pretty memorable spot, because the trail dives behind the wall of water.

You'll ascend about 200 feet over the next half mile.

Relax and enjoy a peaceful picnic (and take some photos) before you continue.

This trail is a must-see for all nature loving Washingtonians. Here are some other beautiful waterfall hikes worth taking.
