However, if you have little ones in your life, they might be more interested in a ride from Kitsap Live Steamers, a Port Orchard attraction geared toward teaching tiny travelers about train rides. And with their schedule running April through October, there’s still plenty of time to go.

Kitsap Live Steamers, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that offers rides on its miniature railroad.

Its mission is to educate the public regarding the legacy of railroads that helped build the country, and to promote railroad safety as well.
Kitsap Live Steamers is an all-volunteer organization, and the train rides are entirely donation based.

The group meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from April - October from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Babies can ride in slings or pouches with parents, and each train can hold a maximum of 20 passengers.
