Washington has a interesting railroad history, and it’s still possible to take a beautiful train ride through parts of the state. However, if you have little ones in your life, they might be more interested in a ride from Kitsap Live Steamers, a Port Orchard attraction geared toward teaching tiny travelers about train rides. And with their schedule running April through October, there’s still plenty of time to go.
Kitsap Live Steamers, Inc. is a local non-profit organization that offers rides on its miniature railroad.
The group meets on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month from April - October from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Babies can ride in slings or pouches with parents, and each train can hold a maximum of 20 passengers.
