There are just some undisputable facts every Washingtonian knows and will vehemently defend. Are you Team Dog or Team Cat? Do you know the best band to come out of Washington, or that pants are optional in the Pacific Northwest? Read on to see if you agree with our picks for 10 hills every Washingtonian is willing to die on about life in Washington State.
We might reside in the small town of Walla Walla or Puyallup, but no one outside of Washington has ever heard of those places so we just say we’re from Seattle. It’s easier that way.

3. If you’re using an umbrella, you’re not from Washington
Sure, it rains a lot in Western Washington; more than 150 days a year to be precise. But that doesn’t stop us from getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors. We can’t let umbrellas slow us down. We don’t use umbrellas. We just don't.
Every Washingtonian knows that dogs are superior companions. Have you ever seen a cat frolicking in Puget Sound or happily running through the Olympic Rainforest? We didn’t think so.
Pants are overrated in Washington. We like to hike, bike, and drink coffee. We can’t be troubled with cumbersome pants.
Since we mentioned hiking and biking (and drinking coffee) one of our favorite places to to do so is on Dog Mountain Trail in the Columbia River Gorge:

9. The Mariners will make it to the World Series one day
It’s true the M’s are the only active Major League Baseball franchise to have never made it to the World Series, but we have faith in our sports teams.
10. And speaking of sports, Seahawks fans are the best fans in the NFL
You could argue this point, but you would be wrong.
