Few People Know There’s A Beach Park Hidden On The Shores of Puget Sound In Washington
One of the best things about living in Washington is discovering its many hidden gems, some of which happen to be hiding in plain sight. Unless you grew up in Lynnwood or Edmonds, you’ve most likely never heard of Meadowdale Beach Park. This quiet sandy beach is flanked by lush, green forest, and the scenery is spectacular.

You'd never guess you were so close to the cities of Lynnwood and Edmonds.

Since Western Washington tends to have fairly mild winters, you can access this trail almost anytime.

The small stream eventually forms a small marine estuary as it empties into Puget Sound.

Its known history dates back to 1878, when John Lund first homesteaded the site. The site was eventually acquired by the Meadowdale Country Club, which closed in the late 1960s. That was when Snohomish County Parks purchased the land.

Enjoy panoramic views of Brown’s Bay, Puget Sound, the Kitsap Peninsula, the Olympic Mountains, and the neighboring islands.

Enjoy the views, check out the ferries gliding over the water, and be glad you found such a perfect oasis.

Construction will be underway in the area until the fall of 2022. The park is open, but certain access points are closed, and some of the main hiking trail is temporarily closed. It will all be worth it when everything re-opens.
