Don't Drive On This Haunted Street In Washington... Or You'll Regret It
Have you ever heard of a haunted street? Our country has many of them, so apparently roads are a popular place to for spirits to roam. There’s even a haunted street in Northwest Washington, and if the stories are correct, it’s a stretch of road that is best avoided. Of course, sometimes you can’t help the route you take, and plenty of people have driven down this road in Bremerton without incident. Hopefully you’ll be one of them.

Some of the locals refer to it as "Ghost Road." The actual paranormal activity has taken place in between Bremerton and Silverdale.

One story states that an old man was killed while he was getting his mail by a group of teenagers who were driving drunk. The man had gotten home late and went out to check his mail in the dark, and the teen driver didn't see him.

The most well-known Holland Road story is of a little girl who was riding her horse down the road when she was struck down by a drunk driver. As the story goes, the drunk man buried the young girl (with the help of a few friends he called) and snuck away from the crime scene. Just a few weeks later, after denying involvement in her death, the man mysteriously died. Years later, after the young girl’s parents died, an old woman lived in the house and reported nightly hauntings both in the house and on Holland Road. After the old woman died the house was demolished, and all that remains is the haunted road.

Some people have seen strange shapes moving around, others claim they have seen a full-on apparition of a little girl with black hair on a horse.

And Northwest Washington has plenty of foggy nights.

Don’t put yourself and others at risk. If you really want to see something spooky, just keep driving down the road at night. But leave your lights on.
