We’ve got a lot of fantastic hiking trails in Washington, but there’s something special about a hike that ends in front of a beautiful waterfall. The Franklin Falls Trail in the Snoqualmie area is not only gorgeous, but it also happens to be an easy, kid-friendly trek.

To reach the trail, take Exit 47 from I-90 and turn right at the stop sign onto Forest Road 58.

Drive 0.2 more miles, then take a left. Drive straight for about 3 miles, following the signs for the Denny Creek Campground, where you'll find a large parking lot.
The trail takes you through a thick canopy of coniferous trees, so it's great for cooling off on a hot day.

And it smells as refreshing as it looks.
The falls are actually comprised of three separate tiers, giving them a total drop of 135 feet.

But only the last and largest drop can be seen from the trail.
Franklin Falls has a 70-foot drop, and its flow is at its best from April to July.
