This Historic Park Is One Of Washington's Best Kept Secrets
If you enjoy learning about Pacific Northwest history, you’ve probably heard of such landmarks as Fort Worden and Fort Vancouver. But Washington has plenty of other historic parks to explore, including a a Living History Museum operated by Metro Parks Tacoma.

It was established in 1833 by The Hudson's Bay Company, a fur trading company.

Today, Fort Nisqually is located inside Point Defiance Park in Tacoma. You'll find several of the original buildings here, plus plenty of artifacts.

Metro Parks Tacoma also hosts events here on occasion, such as candlelight tours.

Admission is $8 for adults, with discounts for seniors, military, and family. Children 3 and under are free.
