This fall has been downright pleasant here in the Evergreen State, and luckily, we’ve got plenty of autumn days left to enjoy. If you enjoy hiking, you probably already know how colorful many of our trails look right now. And if you have yet to check out the Ferry County Rail Trail, now is the perfect time to go.

The Ferry County Rail Trail runs between the communities of Republic and Danville near the Canadian border in northeast Washington.

It's open for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and snowshoeing.
The trail is about 25 miles in length, so it's not easy to do it on foot.

Luckily, you don't have to complete the entire thing to enjoy the stunning scenery.
The trail takes you along Curlew Lake and the Kettle River, and it's incredibly gorgeous this time of year.
