The Tri Cities are full of great Mexican food, so you might think this casual spot on the corner of a strip mall would be easy to skip. But if you do, you're missing out not only on amazing and authentic food, but reasonable prices.

If you grew up in Yakima, you were probably raised on the burgers, fries, and shakes here... but if for some reason you never stopped, you should add this iconic spot to your bucket list. It's well worth it.


Don't be fooled by the somewhat simple exterior of this place -- the interior is elegant, and even though the atmosphere is casual, the food comes perfectly prepared and expertly plated.


Ducks and Drakes sits nestled on a side street of downtown Leavenworth, so it's easy to miss. But if you're in the mood for hearty American fare and a game of shuffleboard or pool, you can't go wrong here.

Seattle's Georgetown neighborhood is becoming more well-known for their outstanding eateries, and Ciudad might be the best of them all. Their charcoal-grilled meats and Middle Eastern sides are the perfect blend of healthy and flavorful.


This is, without a doubt, one of those don't-judge-a-book-by-its-cover situations. Ruins serves a weekly rotating menu of eclectic and creative fare, and it's always excellent.

Although the salsa here is notoriously delicious, we highly recommend enjoying a meal before you stock up on your to-go cups. The Mexican food at Joe's is unreal.


The simple exterior hardly gives a hint to the colorful menagerie you'll find inside Lemolo, not to mention the rotating menu of soup, salads and sandwiches.


Circa's West Seattle location is easy to find, and their charming yellow building is perfectly pleasant. But inside, you'll find some of the most mouthwatering American entrees in the city, including a famous steak salad that's been a favorite for 15 years.
