The World’s Largest Building Is Right Here In Washington And You’ll Want To Visit
Believe it or not, the world’s biggest building (measured by usable space by volume) is right here in Washington. It’s the Boeing Everett Factory, and considering it’s used to assemble airplanes, it makes sense that it’s massive. And believe it or not, you can take a tour and see it for yourself.

After winning a $525 million contract from Pan American World Airways, Boeing purchased 780 acres north of the then little-used Paine Field. Factory tours were first offered in 1968 with the first roll-out of the 747.

4.3 million!

There are six coffee stands, a bank and several cafes inside.

The tours are very popular and cost $25 for adults, with discounts for youth and seniors (kids under 5 are free).

It's interesting to see where planes are "born."
Did you know Washington was home to the world’s largest building? One thing is for sure, Washington is full of surprises.
