It started as a little temporary pop-up, a small operation working out of Broadway Alley in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood. But the pizzas were so popular and sold out so fast that the co-founders, Jordan Koplowitz and Cal Hoffmann, decided to look for a more permanent location. They just opened Blotto, their first storefront — and it’s a place where you can shop while you wait for your pizza.

Blotto is located at 1830 12th Ave. on Capitol Hill, not far from where it all began.

Note that it doesn't look like your average pizzeria, and that's because it's also a corner market.
Koplowitz and Hoffmann have carefully chosen items for retail sale that are from local purveyors as well as some out-of-state vendors whose products have never been sold in Washington.

You can feel good when you shop here, knowing you're supporting local businesses.
Of course, while the market aspect is convenient, it's the pizza that really put this place on the map.

Seattle has a pizza joint on practically every corner, so it's hard to compete with the established spots. However, this place is already a huge hit, with more than a few claiming it's the best pizza they've ever had.

Blotto is currently open Thursday - Saturday from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon until 5 p.m.

Pizza hours are Thursday - Saturday from 5 p.m. - 9 p.m. They have a few tables on-site, but many customers take their pizza to-go.
