This Underrated Washington Hike Is Absolutely Magical
While there’s certainly nothing wrong with going on a short and sweet hike here in Washington, there’s also no better feeling than coming back feeling victorious after conquering one of our more challenging treks. The next time you’re up for a hefty hike with an incredible view, head straight to Blanca Lake.

The lake itself is absolutely stunning, but it requires quite a trek to reach it.

Not only is it over 12 miles in its entirety (out and back), but it's only recommended for experienced hikers.

The trail wastes no time taking hikers up a slow and steady incline, gaining almost 3,000 feet in a little under three miles.

You'll definitely want to check with WTA before you attempt this journey. WTA trail crews have had backcountry response teams working to improve the trail access for yeas.
