Black Diamond Cemetery Is One Of Washington's Spookiest Cemeteries
A cemetery is not an inherently creepy place. In fact, some of them can be quite peaceful. But if you’ve ever walked around Washington’s Black Diamond Cemetery, you may have gotten the feeling that something is a little off. And you wouldn’t be the only one. This cemetery has quite a haunted history.

While the Black Diamond Cemetery is far from its only attraction, it's certainly the most notorious spot.

It's even listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

One grave contains the remains of eight miners who were killed in the Lawson Mine explosion in November of 1910.

Some visitors have reported seeing a white phantom horse and swinging lanterns, while others claim they’ve heard whistling from the miners’ ghosts.

And it's tough to deny that you'll experience the feeling of being watched as you walk the grounds.

And while no concrete evidence has ever come from them, the investigators have all experienced enough strange phenomenons to assume this cemetery is definitely haunted.
The Black Diamond Cemetery was established by the Black Diamond Coal Mining Company as both a company and a community cemetery. Whether or not you believe in the paranormal, it’s still a fascinating place to explore.
