The Roadside Hamburger Hut In Washington That Shouldn’t Be Passed Up
The old-fashioned roadside burger hut is, thankfully, alive and well in Washington. You’ll find at least one of these local treasures in practically every county in the state, and many of them have been around for decades. Big Bubba’s Burgers is no exception. If you see the telltale big red sign when you’re driving down State Route 3, pull over and have lunch immediately.

Allyn sits on the western shore of the North Bay region of Puget Sound's Case Inlet.

In 2012, local brothers Kelly and Brian Wilson bought Big Bubba's with the help of their friend, Bobby Kuckelburg. Brian has since moved on, but Kelly and Brian are still running things well.

And of course, they sell plenty of tasty sides, like fries and onion rings.

If you're wondering just how big this burger is, its $14 price tag (double the price of all the other burgers on the menu) should be a clue.

They also happen to taste their best when they're paired with a milkshake or root beer float.

Luckily, this locally owned legend seems to be here to stay. And the fact that it's located in the middle of a very scenic drive definitely helps.
