You can walk down to a beautiful beach from downtown Langley in seconds.
Langley was founded in the 1800s by Jacob Anthes, who built a logger bunkhouse that is still standing in the downtown core (it's now a museum).

It's named after Judge J.W. Langley of Seattle.
