This all-ages bar and eatery has been a beloved local icon since the day it opened — and if you enjoy beer, bocce ball, and Bavarian food, you’ll be in heaven here.

Rhein Haus first opened in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood in 2013 -- and for a brief moment in time (until the real Von Trapp family got upset), it was known as Von Trapp's.

Owners Deming Maclise and James Weimann took over an old renovated candy factory, turning it into a 10,000 square foot piece of Bavaria.
The interior is laid back but also remarkably upscale, and the space is massive.

While this place stays packed almost every day of the week, it usually isn't too tough to find a table.
Aside from the beer and delicious food, the five indoor bocce ball courts are the largest attraction.

In addition to the great dinner menu, you can stop in between 4 and 6 p.m. Monday - Friday and enjoy discounted happy hour food and drink. They even have a kids' menu here.
