I'm an east coast girl living in a west coast world. I grew up in New England before moving to SoCal for several years. I then lived in NYC or a year before moving to AZ in 2009. I worked in the entertainment industry for many years of my adult life and have a deep love for photography, writing, and traveling around the U.S. as well as to far-flung locations around the world. Travel is my life and writing about it is a dream!
Cemeteries are the final resting places for countless individuals. And while many are quite beautiful and peaceful, some can be downright creepy, especially after dark. One creepy cemetery in Washington that you should avoid walking around alone or in the dark is located in Bellingham. Notoriously haunted, Bayview Cemetery can scare even the bravest person.
Located in the city of Bellingham, Bayview Cemetery offers gorgeous grounds as the final resting place for those who have passed.
Throughout the cemetery, you'll see a variety of mature tree species, mainly elms and oaks, surrounding the headstones and monuments. It certainly helps make it a peaceful place for a stroll.
It is said that several of the cemetery's monuments are haunted. One called "Angel Eyes" is said to be possessed by a spirit that wanders around the cemetery. That's enough to keep anyone away at night!
Visitors have also reported seeing floating spirits and feeling hot spots in certain places. If you dare visit this cemetery alone or at night (which we do not recommend), keep your eyes on the lookout for anything out of the norm.
