We’ve given shout-outs to a lot of Washington State restaurants, from our new and nationally acclaimed gems to our tried-and-true eateries. And since we’re welcoming a brand new year, we’ve put together a list of dining establishments old and new that you should really try in 2019, should the opportunity arise. Some of these spots are for special occasions, some deliver casual comfort food — but they’re all fantastic.
The Edison-Bow area is a foodie's paradise. And while most of the local restaurants are casual, this upscale eatery serves some of the freshest oysters (as well as other seafood, steaks, and vegetarian entrees) with stunning views of the San Juan Islands.

At this charming little Browne's Addition eatery, the pasta is made in-house, the fish and produce are mostly local and always sustainable, the desserts are amazing, and even the brunch menu is stellar. Go early or make a reservation if you want to be seated quickly -- this place is popular for a reason.
Between the sweeping views of the Puget Sound and the Northwest-sourced ingredients used in the creative cuisine, it's no wonder this new restaurant is already a local favorite.The menu rotates seasonally and always includes plenty of seafood, steaks, and pasta.
Dillingers definitely nails the speakeasy vibe, with plenty of dark and romantic nooks and crannies. The dinner menu is fairly small, but everything on it (ribeye or risotto, anyone?) is delicious.

If you've ever lived near Gig Harbor, you've probably spent some time at this iconic spot. Tides Tavern has been a favorite for locals over the age of 21 for decades, and the food is still as tasty as ever. If it's been awhile since you've been, make 2019 the year you revisit.
E.Z. Tiger opened in Yakima last year, and its authentic dim sum instantly won over everyone who tried it. The eatery is dedicated to celebrating the flavors of the Pacific Rim, and it's safe to say they're killin' it.

If you don't subscribe to the theory that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, this place will make a believer out of you. The huge portions and low prices are just an added bonus.
The world (or at least, all of Eastern Washington) rejoiced when Chico's reopened its doors after a fire forced it to close. Luckily, the pizza is as amazing as ever, so go show the business some love this year.
Nourish is located on a historic 1880s pioneer farm, which is pretty fantastic in itself. And considering most of the ingredients are grown onsite, it's safe to say the food here is fresh. This restaurant is definitely appropriately named.

The Cameo Heights Mansion is a sprawling paradise located just outside Walla Walla. But you don't have to be an overnight guest to enjoy dinner at The Vine, the onsite fine dining restaurant. From Tuesday-Saturday, you can enjoy a seven course prix-fixe dinner for $69 prepared by Chef Nathan Carlson. It's well worth making the drive from Walla Walla (or anywhere, really) to experience.
Rock Creek Seafood & Spirits gets its unique look from the tables made from bark-beetle pine and repurposed farm equipment. In a city full of great seafood spots, this one stands out.

This unique restaurant was created by Chef Jeremy Hansen, who offers themed tasting menus in addition to an ala carte menu. If you enjoy savoring your food slowly, you'll love this place.
