You might not be surprised to learn that Virginia is quickly becoming one of the South’s newest destinations for barbecue. You can find delicious BBQ in nearly every part of the state and in the most unlikely of buildings (for example, this BBQ restaurant inside a truck stop). Today, we’ll introduce you to one of the state’s newest and most popular spots, ZZQ. This spot offers authentic, Texas-style barbecue in Richmond, Virginia and it’s all the rage. The food is so popular, in fact, that the shop closes down when it runs out of ingredients, which it often does during weekends. So don’t be afraid to get there early and wait in line, because the food will be well worth it.
Address: 3201 West Moore Street, Richmond, VA, 23230
