History and seafood are two elements of Virginia that we love, yet they don’t often pair together. So the news of an incredible seafood restaurant located inside of a 19th-century mansion is pretty extraordinary. Here’s more about the White Dog Bistro, a uniquely Virginian eatery that can be found in in the quaint town of Mathews.
The White Dog Bistro is located inside of a renovated 19th-century mansion. Its exact address is 68 Church St Mathews, VA 23109.
Located across from the Mathews Court House Square, this iconic building has been in existence for over 175 years. During that span, it has served as several hotels and even a daycare. Many believe the date of construction on the house to be 1840.
In 2013, the White Dog Bistro opened as a fantastic restaurant for locals and visitors from all over to enjoy.
