There are plenty of fancy, upscale steakhouses in the state of Virginia, but we think there’s something to be said for that down-home feel. If you’re craving a delicious cut of meat, you won’t find an experience more authentic than dining at the Farmhouse in Christiansburg. Take a look at what’s being served up in this old Virginia barn that doubles as a restaurant:
A beloved landmark in southwest Virginia, the Farmhouse Restaurant is housed in what was once part of the Ridinger Estate. This nineteeth-century building was repurposed as a steakhouse in 1963.
Step inside this historic building and you'll find a delightful dining space with incredible character. In the 1970s, the restaurant added an old train caboose for a memorable dining atmosphere.
In just the past decade, the space has been further renovated to include an additional dining area, banquet space, and beautiful outdoor patio to accommodate even more diners.
As soon as you sample something from the menu, you'll understand why this establishment has been such a landmark of the New River Valley community for decades.
When you visit the Farmhouse, not only will you enjoy an authentic steakhouse, but you'll also appreciate this incredible unique and historic atmosphere.
