Those arriving at Big Meadows are often a bit surprised. After miles of dense, deep forests, the arrival at a high-altitude meadow is a welcome surprise. And, during the summer and early fall, there are bright blooms to be admired for miles.
One of the best ways to enjoy all that Big Meadows has to offer is by opting for a night or two of camping at the Big Meadows Campground. You'll find it at milepost 51.2, and it's located within the park's central district.
