While this may sound too good to be true, Stony Mountain Trail promises a sweeping mountain overlook with minimal effort. Clocking in at just 1.5 miles round trip, this hike can be enjoyed at sunset and will have you back before dark. Here’s more on the easy trail in Virginia that will take you to the top of the world:
Stony Man Hike is a beloved trail in Shenandoah National Park that doesn't require much effort at all. Instead, visitors will enjoy the absolutely incredible scenery promised along the way.
The parking lot is located along Skyline Drive at Milepost 41.7. The trail starts along the Appalachian Trail and eventually begins to follow its own path marked by blue blazes.
