Tucked away in Scott County, Virginia is the birthplace of one of the most beloved country singers of all time: June Carter Cash.
From the age of 10, June performed with her family in the famous Carter Family band.

One of the most well-known chapters in June Carter's life was her marriage to Johnny Cash. The two music icons met backstage at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee in 1956, but would not marry for another 12 years.
One of June's most famous songs, "Ring of Fire," is one that would eventually become a hit for her husband. I think, and I'm sure you'd agree, that Johnny Cash and June Carter certainly made a great team!
