Open since 2015, the Meadery is welcoming guests for both in-store shopping and reasonably priced tastings of its seasonal meads.

Shoppers will discover a wide variety of seasonal meads, including flavors like locally-sourced Virginia Tonight and orange blossom-accented Soak Up The Sun.
If you're looking for gifts for kids or anyone who doesn't drink, don't miss the meadery's shelf of varietal honey, made from nectar sourced from specific flowers to have a distinct fruity taste.
Once you're done looking around, it's time to belly up to Silver Hand Meadery's tasting bar - the perfect place to try the company's famous mead before settling on a bottle to buy.
Over a 35-minute session in the mead hall, you'll learn about the history of mead while tasting some of the finest in-house varieties. This experience is available by reservation for only $12 a person.
The tasting comes with a sweet finish - samples of the Meadery's honey varieties including the signature cinnamon-whipped honey. One of the most popular items, it goes perfectly on toast.
The mead is produced in-house by a passionate team, overseen by Meadery founders Glenn and Sherri Lavender. The business is growing fast and is hard at work on new flavors.
