Today, we’ll focus on Shenandoah Caverns in Quicksburg, Virginia. An iconic tourist destination since 1922, Shenandoah Caverns has impressed residents and visitors alike with its underground tour. Shenandoah Cavern is located in Quicksburg, Virginia, which is easily accessible from I-81 between Mt. Jackson and New Market.
Perhaps the most fascinating aspect of this underground tour is realizing just how ancient these rocks are. In fact, scientists estimate that the formations grow only 1 cubic inch every 100-125 years.
