Camping in Virginia is one of the best ways to disrupt your everyday routine, enjoy the great outdoors, and reconnect with loved ones. If this sounds like a much-needed vacation for you, we’ve got just the destination in mind. North Bend Park is tucked away on the John H. Kerr Reservoir and features some of the most scenic campsites in the region. Here’s more on why you’ll want to pack your bags and plan your next great camping adventure at North Bend Park & Campground.
Tucked away on the shores of a 50,000-acre lake that boasts over 800 miles of wooded shoreline, North Bend Park is a treasure.
The dedicated campground offers campers 249 primitive and electric/water hookup sites, all of which are on or at least very close to the water and located near bathhouses for convenience.
Other amenities include hot showers, meandering walking trails, public picnic areas with grills, fishing piers, and a swimming beach. In short, you'll find plenty to do during the day.
One thing to note is that there isn't a store on the campground so you'll need to bring your supplies with you or plan to make a quick trip into town for other essentials.
Another perk of this campground is that the sites themselves are spacious. Each offers enough space for two cars, two tents, and a small grill.
So whether you're looking for a camping adventure with your family or simply a place to reconnect with nature, you'll agree that North Bend Campground is a special place.
