Virginia’s beautiful attractions never cease to amaze. Whether it’s a hidden waterfall, mesmerizing landscape, or something else altogether, there’s plenty to marvel at during any given season. And with Spring in full bloom, now is the perfect opportunity to visit this garden setup.
Tucked away along the picturesque downtown waterfront you’ll find the Pagoda & Oriental Garden, a peaceful area brimming with beautiful architecture. Here’s more on this particular garden exhibit and why you’ll want to visit:
The Pagoda & Oriental Garden is located along the waterfront of Freemason Harbor in Norfolk. Its exact address is 265 W Tazewell St, Norfolk, VA 23510-1209.
The focal point of the garden is the Pagoda itself, a two-story octagonal building that honors Chinese culture and artwork. The venue also doubles as a restaurant, serving Asian-inspired cuisine.
This authentic Pagoda building was constructed in 1989 as a gift to the City of Norfolk and the Commonwealth of Virginia by the Taiwan Provincial Government.
The Pagoda & Oriental Garden incorporates elements of Chinese culture to create a tranquil setting filled with plants, stone, water, and decorative architectural features.
One particularly fascinating aspect of the garden is the mindful landscaping; at any given season the natural elements frame the building in a particular way.
If you haven't yet seen this hidden gem in Norfolk, this season is a particularly memorable time to visit.
