While many of Virginia’s hiking trails will take you up rugged mountains and through challenging terrain, there are plenty that will leave you breathless simply because of the scenery (and not the challenge!). So if you’re looking for a beautiful trail that will soothe your soul, we’ve found just the one. The Noland Trail is located in the Mariners’ Museum Park near Newport News and showcases the picturesque landscape. Here’s more on the peaceful riverside trail that will soothe your soul:
The Mariners' Museum & Park is a wonderful local attraction in Newport News, Virginia. Driving to the site, you'll feel an immediate connection to the water.
After you've experienced the museum, the next must-visit site is the Noland Trail. As shown by the map below, this meandering trail takes you around the perimeter of Lake Maury.
The trail measures about 5 miles in entirety, although you don't have to complete the trail to enjoy the diversity of beauty here. Whether it's a wooded pathway...
No matter if you're drawn to the museum or the landscape, you'll feel completely restored after spending time within the tranquil atmosphere of the Mariners' Museum & Park.
