Halloween isn’t far away, and that means folks in Virginia can brace themselves for an onslaught of spooky stories, pumpkin carvings, and even haunted houses. While traditional haunted houses may not be accessible this year, many Halloween attractions are opting for a creative and socially distant-friendly alternative. Today, we’ll give you the full scoop on Nightmare Alley, a terrifying Virginia Halloween experience that visitors will be able to drive through this year. That is…if they dare!
Each year, the Lorton Arts Center hosts a bone-chilling Halloween event known as Nightmare Alley.
The event functions as an extension of the Workhouse Performing Arts program and the local students are invited to practice their production and acting skills by participating in the event.
Things will look a bit different this year for an event that's categorized as Virginia's first-ever haunted drive-through. Rest assured, the event will be every bit as haunting!
What makes Nightmare Alley so scary is the fact that the Lorton Arts Center is located at the sight of a former prison. And add to that chilling past a cast of zombies, swamp creatures, and scary clowns and you've got yourself an unforgettable night!
The immersive experience will be completely contactless this year. There are 13 different scenes set up for drivers to experience from the safety of their car.
So if you're looking to embrace all the terror that Halloween has to offer, you know exactly where to go this year. Nightmare Alley will take place on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from October 2nd - October 31st.
