Making a little space for time outdoors is important for a healthy lifestyle, but it definitely helps if the outside you choose is beautiful to look at. Everyone enjoys scenic views on their outings, but the Neabsco Creek Boardwalk Trail is easy to hike and has plenty to see. Bookmark this trail for a hike if you find yourself in the Woodbridge area in the future! It’s definitely a stunning choice.
Welcome to Neabsco Creek Boardwalk Trail out at the Julie J. Metz Neabsco Creek Wetlands Preserve, a beautiful boardwalk experience with some of the best views the state has to offer.
One great benefit of the trail is nature and wildlife spotting, as the wetlands are full of wonders. Waterfowl, summer songbirds, and winter grasslands birds make for a good list to spot, so bring your binoculars if you have a checklist!
It's a nice easy hike to take, with only a 40-foot elevation gain along the trail. It's much more interesting than a walk in the park because out here it is wild and wonderful.
The trail is mostly wheel friendly, but there are non-boardwalk sections of the trail that may be impassable after it rains or have an uneven surface not suitable for mobility equipment.
The biomes present here are a true beauty, and we're glad to enjoy them on this boardwalk trail. Why not come out for a hike next time you're in the neighborhood?
