Come springtime, the Italian Garden at Maymont transform into a colorful wonderland of tulips. Like something from a painting, this massive tulip garden will inspire your trip to Richmond no matter where you may live. Breathtaking in any season, Maymont utterly transforms during the springtime, as blossoms and blooms return for the season.
The Italian Garden, along with some of the other gardens at Maymont, was commissioned by the Dooleys in the early 20th century. Elements of Italian design from the 15th and 16th centuries were used as inspiration.
