The Mary’s Rock Summit along the Appalachian Trail sits at 3,514 feet high, and it’s one of the best trails inside Shenandoah. This 3.4-mile trail leads to the most stunning vistas in the state.

From Skyline Drive, you can access this trail using the Panorama parking area. But there are also other access points inside the park.
Though the trail is considered moderate to difficult, with an elevation change of 1,210 feet, it’s well worth the trek.

It will take about three hours to complete and it’s great for novice to expert hikers. However, newbies might find it challenging, especially because it’s purely uphill.
