There are few things we love here in Virginia more than waterfalls. Whether we’re roadtripping to them, hiking to them, or just admiring them from the road, these attractions have a special place in our heart. If you agree, then you’ll want to plan your visit to see this wonderfully unique waterfall staircase near the Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center. And the best part of all? While you’re there, you can enjoy a gorgeous hike that will showcase the surrounding area.
If you've ever had the privilege of driving on the Blue Ridge Parkway, you've most likely enjoyed several points of interest along the way.
Today, we'll introduce you to one that's located between milepost 60 and 63.8. This portion follows the James River, and also represents the lowest point of elevation in the Parkway.
Watch as the water flows over the staircase-like structure and you're sure to be mesmerized. It's a wonderful place to stretch your legs or even enjoy a quick lunch.
