LightUP Fest Is A Unique Virginia Lights Festival In Loudoun, Virginia

Here in Virginia, we’re all about festive lights when it comes to the holiday season. For proof of this, look no further than our charming Main Streets and Christmas villages. Plus, there’s even an entire festival devoted to lights, lanterns, and all sorts of dazzling merriment. LightUP Fest is a traveling show and it’s made its way to Northern Virginia. If you've got a thing for unforgettable festivals, there's an event that's landed in Loudoun County that you'll want to learn about.

The aptly-named LightUP Fest is a traveling exhibit of breathtaking lanterns of the Chinese tradition. Yet these lanterns have been infused with technology and the result is breathtaking.

There will be no less than 77 exhibits on display at One Loudon, the downtown district of Ashburn. The major themes are Tour of Fantasy, Freedom America, Mysterious East and Magical World.

Walking around -- and through! -- this dazzling display, you'll feel as though you've arrived in another world all together. Be sure to take your time enjoying all that this dynamic and worldly festival has to offer.

In addition to over one million lights on display, you can also look forward to daily performances of musicians, acrobats, dancers, and more. Each night of the 8-week long exhibit promises to be memorable!

So whether you're looking for a unique evening outing or simply entranced by the idea of so many dazzling lights (who isn't?!), be sure to visit the exhibit while it's still in town!
