Sometimes it’s fun to get lost. You’ll find that to be true when you’re immersed in the Liberty Mills Farm corn maze, an iconic destination in Virginia this time of year. The farm, which is located in Somerset, draws families from near and far to its massive maze carved into a cornfield. Whether you’re up for a challenge or just love a good ol’ fashioned seasonal activity, you’ll be glad you celebrated the fall season at Liberty Mills.
Welcome to Liberty Mills Farm, an attraction that is equal parts picturesque and welcoming. You'll feel right at home when you pull up to this family-owned farm.
While the farm makes for a gorgeous destination any time of year, autumn is arguably the most exciting season to visit of all. Each year, Liberty Mills Farm puts together an incredibly intricate maze that's the biggest of its kind east of the Mississippi.
The maze measures an unbelievable 33 acres. This massive area is actually divided into four different mazes. Each level becomes increasingly difficult and takes longer to take, with the fourth level providing no clues at all!
Each daytime maze ticket will allow visitors to complete all or one of the levels -- it's up to you! If you plan on completing all four, it could take up to 5 hours.
Each year's maze has a unique theme, and 2019 is the celebration of the Apollo mission. Notice the intricate details that have been carved into the maze.
Above you'll see an overview of the Apollo 11 flag, which measures larger than a football field!
Looking for even more of a challenge? You can sign up for a flashlight maze, where you attempt to navigate the trail with only the guide of a flashlight.
What are your thoughts on this massive maze? Would you attempt to complete all four levels? We’d love to hear from you! If you’re curious to learn more about the flashlight maze, you can click here.
