If you’re a fan of the great outdoors, then you understand from experience that some of the best views in Virginia are from mountain peaks, lookouts, and other elevated perspectives. Today, we’ll introduce you to arguably one of the most unique in the whole state. Situated in Dickinson County, the Hazel Mountain Lookout Tower provides a view that can only be described as mesmerizing. Climbing to the top, if you’re not afraid of the daunting height, proves to be quite an adventure.
Peering out over the scenic Clinch Mountain Range in Dickinson County awaits a striking perspective of the world.
The Aermoter structure stands at a dizzying 90 feet tall, and those who venture to climb to the top will find themselves at an impressive elevation of 3,044 feet above sea level.
Climbing the many steps to the top of the tower is possible; however, be sure to exercise caution as you ascend to the top. As you can imagine, the views are well worth the effort!
Whether or not you plan to venture to the top of this incredible tower, you can't help but fall in love with the view -- whether it's vicariously through these photos or from your own eyes.
