Here in Virginia, we’re blessed with so many beautiful trails to enjoy. One of the best places to enjoy a scenic hike in Virginia is Shenandoah National Park. This is truly one of the greatest parks in the country; and at nearly 200,000 acres, there’s plenty of room to explore. Shenandoah boasts around 250 trails; you can find everything here, from family friendly strolls to grueling 10-mile treks. Today, let’s take a look at the Hazel Falls And Caves Trail, an incredibly scenic hike in Virginia:

One trail in Shenandoah National Park that we love is the Hazel Falls and Cave Trail. At 5.3 miles long and with a bit of a steep incline, it's just difficult enough to be a challenge, without being too brutal of an ordeal.

Towards the end, to get to Hazel Falls, you have to climb up about .2 miles of steep rock stairs. You'll certainly get a leg workout!

(The trip back does pose a bit of a challenge with more dramatic inclines., however.)
You'll see some really beautiful natural scenes on this trail, including caves and many rocks.
